Is a very widespread species, it has been recorded widely in the Asia-Pacific region, from India to Polynesia, including Australia, Tasmania, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Fiji Islands, Micronesia, Cook Islands, Wallis & Futuna, and French Polynesia.
